In your seeking, there is healing

Hello there sis,

Welcome to Paper Moments Blog. Here we write inspired Holy Spirit letters to you.

Our mission is to help women heal well and live well in Christ. Today, I want to share with you a word from the Lord about "in your seeking, there is healing."

Let's begin with Luke Chapter 8:40-48:

Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him. And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus' feet, he implored him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.

As Jesus went, the people pressed around him. And there was a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone. She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased. And Jesus said, “Who was it that touched me?” When all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.” And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.”

Sis, are you suffering in your heart or even in your health for years?

If so, this word is for you!

The woman with the blood disease was suffering for twelve years and no doctor could heal her. She spent all she had and still couldn't find healing. She was desperate for complete healing and Jesus was her only hope. This reminds me of the number of people suffering from cancer today, the scary diagnosis that no one wants to have. The Lord has shown us something significant in this passage - while many pressed on Jesus - no one but the woman touched Him.

I want to show you the significance here: touch your shoulder. See when you touch your shoulder it rests there for a moment but if you press on your shoulder - see what happens?

When you press on your shoulder it is like you pushing forward versus a touch rest.

In her touch (rest) she drew out Jesus' power and was completely healed from bleeding for twelve years.

I want to encourage you that you will find rest in your seeking. In your seeking, you will find healing and complete restoration. Your desperate cry is being heard for you and your family.

Sis, don't stop seeking the Lord. Don't stop dwelling in Him no matter what your circumstances are - Jesus is the answer.

Love,

Paper Moments
